Ok secrets out, I’m obsessed with Target you guys ha! Just kidding that’s not even a secret! Well because I spend a good amount of time at Target I thought I’d be a good citizen and share some of my Target knowledge 🙂
1. Majority of Targets don’t play music in their stores. They do this because they don’t want to distract their customers. This is one of the reasons why you walk into target to get milk but you come out with 2 new tops. Isn’t this crazy? Read more about it here.
2. Know the markdown schedule! 99.9% of Target merchandise will go on sale. I really try not to buy anything full price at Target because I know it’ll probably be marked down in a week or two. This is the markdown schedule majority of Targets follow (read more about it here):
Monday – Electronics, Accessories, Kids Clothing, Books, Baby and Stationery
Tuesday — Domestics, Women’s Clothing, Pets and Market (food items)
Wednesday — Men’s Clothing, Health and Beauty, Diapers, Lawn & Garden items and Furniture
Thursday — Housewares, Lingerie, Shoes, Toys, Sporting Goods, Decor & Luggage
Friday — Auto, Cosmetics, Hardware, & Jewelry
3. Download the Target App! There are so many neat features on this app. One of them being coupons. You can scan stuff while you’re in the store and see if there’s a promo going on. Another really helpful thing about this app is that you can easily check prices for stuff no matter where you are in the store. All you have to do is scan the bar code! Also, if something is a certain price on the app but is coming up differently in store they will honor the price on the app. I’ve had several of these experiences! Make sure you’re paying attention to the details 😉
4. Target price matches with other retailers! This is good to know because if you ever see something that is less expensive than Target has it for you will most likely get it price matched. Ask your cashier!
5. My favorite section at Target is the clearance section, of course. There are so many good finds. Two things you should know about clearance: If the price tag ends in $0.06 or $0.08, the item will be priced down again. But if it ends in $0.04, that is the final price. If you’re patient enough you’ll get what you want for a complete steal!
Hope these tips were helpful for you guys! And if you have any other useful tips please do share in the comments! Happy Target shopping my friends! 🙂
