Now that the cold weather is upon us my skin has been EXTRA dry! For reference, I have normal to dry skin. Before I took Accutane for my acne, my skin was a complete oil slick but now its pretty normal. When temperatures start coming down, my skin feels it. Even if you have oily skin, the weather can definitely play a role in how your skin behaves.
Right now, my main concern with my skin is keeping it as hydrated as possible. I do my skin care routine twice a day. As a blogger I get sent many products to try (I also get sent products from Sephora Play Box monthly), so I do like to switch out my products often to try new things. There are a million products out there, why not! I do have sensitive skin at times, so if something does not get along with my skin I will know right away (I usually get burning sensations and get quite red).
Night Routine
Makeup Eraser – this thing is genius and all you need is water! I have saved so much money by not using traditional makeup wipes.
Cleanse – I alternate cleansers (Paula’s Choice or Michael Todd)
Treatment – Paula’s Choice Antioxidant Pore Purifier (contains salicylic acid perfect for promoting skin cell turnover)
Moisturize – Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (my ride or die)
Eye Cream – I’ve been loving VIIcode Skin Care eye cream. This stuff is absolutely incredible (it is a pricey penny BUT so worth it!). The eye area is so delicate and this little cream is magic.
Morning Routine
Cleanse or Exfoliate every other day – currently using Garnier Glow Boost
Treatment – Paula’s Choice Antioxidant Pore Purifier
Moisturize – Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
Eye Cream – VIIcode Skin Care Eye Cream
SPF – critical to protecting your skin! Paula’s Choice Glow Mineral Moisturizer (lightweight + oil free SPF’s are the way to go)
**Once a week I’ll do a face mask. Currently loving Boscia Green MATCHA Magic Super-Antioxidant Face Mask.
