OCTOBER already?! Time is absolutely flying! We have officially hit the Fall season and cooler temperatures are headed our way. With this season upon us, the common cold season is also in full swing. You ever wonder why people are more likely to have colds during the fall and winter seasons? I’ve always heard that people often get sick in the cooler months because they’re spending more time indoors rather than outdoors. When you’re indoors for the majority of time you’re more likely to come in close contact with people making it easier to share germs.
If in this season you become a victim to the common cold, FEAR NOT! I’ve got the perfect pick me up!
Here are 5 things I do to make me feel better when I’m sick and stuck inside π OR if I simply rather be indoors π
1. Make your room feel cozy and decorate for the season! I personally love TJ MAXX for seasonal decorations, they have the cutest items for great prices, too.
2. Keep your room clean! Just because you’re not feeling the greatest doesn’t mean your room has to be in shambles! Try your best to keep the room fresh and organized. This will most likely bring up your mood and you might actually start feeling better physically because you’re mentally feeling great and put together.
3. Light a candle. 97% of the time I will have a candle lit in my room! Currently loving all kinds of Pumpkin candles! π
4. Drink some relaxing tea! I love drinking Cinnamon Tea.
5. Get the right tissues! If you have a cold you NEED tissues, duh! However, nothing is worse than having to blow your nose constantly but getting that rudolph nose and peeling/burning skin because of the constant rubbing of your nose with the WRONG kind of tissue.Β ScottiesΒ Facial Tissues are not only the softest thing (and some also have soothing ingredients like aloe), but they have so many patterns/prints to choose from! It’s actually fun picking out tissues boxes that will match your room aesthetic! It’s all in the details people π
