Fave Shows / Movies + Quarantine Life Update

Friends! It’s been over three weeks since stay at home orders in New Jersey happened & let’s just say I am hanging in there. To be honest, I’m kind of getting used to this work from home life. I don’t really have a bed time which is terrible. I go to sleep between 2am & 5am every night. I take naps here & there but mostly I’m just working so much these days! Work life balance is not really a thing around here anymore.

I now will never take for granted that I GET to leave my house to go to my corporate office job. My home is my sanctuary and resting place. And now that my job has moved to be completely remote, it’s kind of overwhelming because it seems like work is always going.

But to be completely transparent, I am very thankful that I still have a job. My company made a lot of cuts recently due to COVID-19, which was honestly so terrible. Many of my coworkers have lost income for 2-3 months. Everything is really all up in the air and we are in unprecedented times. That being said, work has really taken over because I now have more on my plate. But yet again I say, I’m grateful. It’s rough, but I’m grateful. Honestly, that’s what’s keeping me going. Be grateful, be grateful, be grateful.

It’s hard being at home & having so much to do for work and feeling like all you’re doing is eating and sitting down on your laptop, but I’m grateful. I have a primary source of income, health insurance, car insurance, food on the table, and a roof over my head. To those that have been struggling really bad throughout these tough times, my heart truly goes out to them. We’re all in this together.

In these times, I am so grateful for social media because I honestly miss my church family, going to the mall, visiting friends, walking around without a worry to put a mask/gloves on, and so much more 🙁 I’m sad Easter Sunday won’t be the same this year. However, I know this too shall pass. In Jesus name. I’m praying this thing ends soon so we can go back to normal life. But honestly, I know it won’t be normal. It’ll be different. It’ll be different because when I come out of this, I will look at things in a new way. I’m even MORE grateful for my church family, my job, my friends, the mall, fun restaurants, and cool experiences! I hope dear friends that despite the ups & downs of these tough times, at the end of it all you will choose to be grateful. Hang in there, do some workouts inside, read your Scripture, and maybe even binge watch some shows! 😉

Here are some shows/movies that I love & recommend:

Hope this little post brightened up your day just a tad! Thanks for reading!
