I don’t know about you but this past week has definitely been anxiety-filled. Although social media is my full-time job, I’ve had to step back from social media several times this week because everyones thoughts and opinions about this election can just be way overwhelming. For me personally, the election is not really causing me anxiety just because I truly have decided to rest in Jesus, but I know for many others this may honestly be troubling them. I will be transparent and say one thing that has caused me anxiety is wedding planning. Not that I’m going crazy, but to be honest there are so many things to think about when planning a wedding, especially when it comes to budget. I never knew flowers were so dang expensive LOL I feel like I’m probably going to have to be paying for the air my guests breathe at my wedding haha!
To help us all out in these trying times, I though it’d be helpful to share five tips that always help me overcome anxiety in different areas of my life:
I hope these tips are helpful to you girls and that you continue to hang in there! I will definitely be praying for the ease of our minds throughout these times!
Verses to Remind Your Soul of When You are Anxious:
Philippians 4:6-7: “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
1 Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
Matthew 6:34: “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Luke 12:25: “And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?”
John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. “
