It’s so important to see the beauty of life no matter what we’re facing. Beauty is in the eyes of those we love and the sweet moments we treasure.
Can I be real for a minute? Sometimes life can be so messed up all I can do is laugh. I am a perfectionist. Yes, I have a problem. Ever since I was younger I needed all my baby dolls lined up a certain way, my closet organized to the T, my food nicely separated, and the list goes on. A neat freak, for sure. I would get so upset at how my siblings would laugh at me, as I picked up my dolls and lined them up by height. To me, they just didn’t understand that I wanted everything to be perfect and under my control. Do you ever think God laughs at us in a similar way? Perhaps He smiles and says, “Oh my child, you silly thing. Why strive for perfection, when I already made you perfectly? Stop worrying so much. Just LIVE and TRUST ME! I’m the one who’s in control here.”
Honestly, STRIVING for perfection is so tiring and time consuming. Can we stop striving so much and just BE? Can we stop fussing over everything that doesn’t go our “perfect” way? If it doesn’t go our way, IT’S OKAY. We shouldn’t live miserable because of this, just laugh it off and keep moving!
