Puerto Rico Trip Recap: What I Wore, Places I Ate, Instagrammable Spots

This past January 2022, Jordon and I visited his motherland, Puerto Rico! I have always wanted to visit as I had heard so many great things about the island. It is absolutely beautiful! We had so much fun creating tons of memories together. We stayed in the San Juan, PR area in several different locations. Here’s a recap of our Puerto Rico trip!

When we first got there, the weather was gorgeous. The second and third day was a totally different story. It was raining heavily non-stop and it was actually quite scary as the electricity in one of the locations we stayed in shut off for a few minutes. Many natives were mentioning how they had not experienced rain as such in a very long time. We were stuck indoors for those two days, but made the most of it and binge-watched some Netflix, visited a huge mall called Plaza Las Américas, and even got to visit a bilingual church in San Juan called Connect Life PR. A lot of the outdoor things we wanted to do didn’t happen; however, this just means we definitely have to go back!

Places to Stay in Puerto Rico

Here are two locations we stayed at while on our Puerto Rico Trip:

Casa Wilson Inn

A gorgeous family-owned hotel in the heart of Condado, Puerto Rico. This location is an intimate location with 11 rooms, an outdoor pool/patio along with free breakfast every day. If you’re looking for a low-key stay with not too many people at the location, this is it!

1310 Av. Wilson, San Juan, 00907, Puerto Rico

San Juan Courtyard Isla Verde Beach Resort

This well-known hotel in Carolina, PR was pretty large with multiple outdoor pools, a gym, casino, and it was right on the Isla Verde Beach. We had full access to the beach which was Jordon’s favorite part! He’s definitely a beach bum.
